Unless you plan on leaving your whisk in the hot pot for an extended period of time it will work perfect for you to get the clumps out of gravy, mixing and just stirring hot (or cold), sensitive fluids. Replace your old whisk with this one, there are two styles - with silicone balls (can be used in hot pots but not left in the pot) or stainless steel balls. I have both but I really only use the one with silicone balls because it won't scratch your pots or bowls.
